Each contestant will receive a guaranteed gift and the top 16 winners will receive attractive prizes. Besides, about 1000 creative contestants will be featured as women entrepreneurs.
Nayla Noman Bari, National Director of Miss Earth Bangladesh, said: “We are calling these girls as ‘Super Girls’. Every family has a supergirl… We want to make positive use of social media platforms to make people aware of the use of re-use and re-cycle products. Besides, we want to contribute to creating new buyers and sellers of these products to prevent pollution in the environment.
Its chief adviser, film director Noman Robin, said: “At least twice a year, government, private, autonomous, global organizations give away various items to their well-wishers as a gift. They can use hand-made recycled, re-used products as gifts made by our educated young women & encourage creating a new marketplace. This will reduce the garbage in nature a little, increase awareness, some educated conscientious women will stand on their own feet. So we urge everyone to unite with this initiative.”
