At least 20 people were injured in a clash between two groups of traders over establishing supremacy at Tulatuli Bazar in Meghna upazila on Friday.
Quoting traders, police said an altercation ensued between two groups of fish traders—one of Tulatuli village and the other of Khidirchar village—over sitting arrangement at Tulatuli Bazar in the afternoon.
At one stage, the traders of Tulatuli chased their rival group, triggering a clash that left 20 people injured.
Mohammad Nasim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Meghna Police Station, said additional police have been deployed in the area to avert further trouble.
Legal actions will be taken against the attackers, the OC added. -UNB, Comilla
