Police recovered the body of a man from a pond near Ullapara Railway Station in Ullapara upazila on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Shafique, 37, son of Samaj Ali of Nayangati village in Sadar upazila of the district.Officer-in-charge of Ullapara Model Police Station Tajul Huda said locals found the body of Shafique floating in the pond around 12:30 pm and informed police.
Later, the law enforcers recovered the body and sent it to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
A case was filed in this connection.- UNB
