Dhaka -A former leader of Jamaat-e-Islami’s student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir was arrested from Old Satkhira area in Satkhira last night.The arrested was identified as Omar Faraque, 40, son of Mohammad Abdullah of Sadar upazila.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sadar thana Firoz Hossain said, acting on secret information, an operation team of the police raided the Old Satkhirai area and arrested Omar Faraque.
Police said the Shibir leader is accused in several cases.-BSS
