Former state minister Mujibur Rahman Fakir passes away

Former state minister and ruling Awami League (AL) MP Dr Capt (retd) Mujibur Rahman Fakir of Mymensingh-3 constituency passed away on Monday morning due to heart disease.

He was 69.

Mujibur Rahman Fakir breathed his last around 9am at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, said Kamrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station. Mymensingh, (UNB) reported.

Meanwhile President Abdul Hamid expressed deep shock at the death of the ruling party MP.

In a condolence message, he prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family members.
