Barguna – A mobile court on Thursday night sentenced four people to different jail terms for solemnising a child marriage in Char Colony area of the district town.Tipped off that a family arranged the marriage ceremony for an underage girl, the mobile court conducted s drive at a house of marriage registrar (Qazi) Saidur Rahman in the area around 11:30pm and detained him along with bridegroom Imran, his brother Jakaria Jakir and bride’s uncle Nurul Islam,UNB News Agency Reported.
Later, it sentenced Saidur to 20 days’ imprisonment while Imran to three days’, and Jakir and Nurul to seven days’ jail.The court also fined Nurul Tk 500.
