A fruit trader was killed as a truck crashed into him at Tufan Company intersection in the district town on Monday morning.The deceased was identified as Rezaul Islam, 32, son of Sadeq Ali of Sultanpur Sahapara in the district town. Witnesses said the Dhaka-bound bus from Bhomra hit Rezaul in the area while he was crossing the road around 8:30am, leaving him dead on the spot.On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Satkhira Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Enamul Haque said police detained truck driver Robiul along with his vehicle. -UNB, Satkhira
