Dhaka – BNP is set to observe a two-hour sit-in programme on Thursday in front of Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) in the city’s Ramna area protesting the fresh gas price hike.BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told this reporters on Wednesday at the party’s Nayapaltan central office.As part of their countrywide programme, the BNP leader said, they will peacefully stage the sit-in in front f the IEB from 10am to 12 noon.He sought law enforcers’ cooperation to hold the programme peacefully and in a democratic manner. The BNP leader said their party’s different units across the country will also observe the programme on Thursday to register their protest against the gas price hike.Earlier on February 23, the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) raised gas prices for all types of consumers.UNB agency
