Ghasphul, a mass media organisation on Thursday organised a discussion meeting at the Jatiya Press Club to bring into focus the contribution of painter Syed Lutful Huq to fine arts literature. Poet Belal Chowdhury who passed away recently was remembered with great respect at the function.
Eminent journalist cultural personality Fazle Lohani presided over the function which was addressed by eminent artists and poets. Bilu Kabir presented a paper while artist Monirul Islam, Poet Rabiul Hussain, poet Habibullah Sirajee, Prof. Masuda M Rashid Chowdhury, poet Nisar Hossain, and Syed Lutfun Huq took part in the discussion.
Rabeya Sultana Panna, director Ghasphul, read out from a write-up by poet Belal Chowdhury and Mina Mashrafi read-out a self-composed poem as a mark of respect to Belal Chowdhury. Ata Sarkar of Ghasphul earlier made an introductory statement at the function attended by a number of painters, poets, litterateurs, and journalists. – GreenWatch Report
