Benapole – A schoolgirl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at Kirttipur village of Jhikargaccha upazila in Jessore District on Monday morning.The deceased was identified as Santa Khatun, 16, daughter of Malaysia expatriate Abdar Hossain and a class X student of Kirttipur Girls’ High School.Family members said Shanta locked into an altercation with her mother on Sunday night over study related issue.Following this, she hanged herself with a beam of the roof at her room around 7:30am.Later she was rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital where doctors declared her dead.
