The Pir Shaheb of Charmonai, Moulana Mufti Syed Rezaul Karim on Wednesday demanded the enactment of a law providing for the highest punishment against those revolting against religon.
Inaugurating a 3-day annual Mohfil of Charmonai, the Pir Shaheb expressed his concern that those committing blasphemy were not getting maximum punishment and said that the government will commit a blunder if it ignores the demand of the majority of the people.Lakhs of devotees from across the country converged at Charmonai to attend the Mohfil. The Pir Shaheb said maximum punishment to those responsible for blasphemous utterances has now turned into the demand of the masses. Latif Siddique who been sent to jail should be meted out punishment at the earliest instead of being treated like a vip, he said.he said.
Moulana Mufti Syed Rezaul Karim told the devotees that all earthly activities should be dedicated to earning the satisfaction of Allah Almighty for rewards in the afterworld. Those who want the satisfaction of Allah succeed in their mission. The late Pir Shaheb of Charmonai used to tell devotees that people are guided to seek the satisfaction of Allah. No guidance was offered from there only for earthly gains, he said. If the objective is set for satisfaction of the creator, then all activities turn into vurtues.
Apart from the Pir Shaheb who will speak after Fazr and Magreb prayers on the three days, eminent religious scholars would make submissions on ways shaping life on the basis of the teachings of the holy Qur’an and Hadit, says a press release.
