GM purple tomatoes and pink pineapples

Genetically Modified (GM) heart-healthy purple colored tomatoes and cancer-fighting pink pineapples are awaiting the concerned authority’s approval for release in the United States. Good innovation indeed! But doubts are there whether consumption of these genetically engineered vegetables and fruits really beneficial for human health in the first place? More research is needed to determining the real effects of these modified products on humans.
