Shah Alam Khan, upazila chairman and former joint convener of Awami League of Gournadi upazila under Barisal district passes away on Friday morning.Family sources said he brought to Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital from his residence at C and B Road area of Barisal city after came uder sudden heart attack at 9:00 AM Friday.
However attending physician at the emergency ward of the hospital declared him as dead.Shah Alam Khan was 65 and left wife, 2 daughters and a lot of relatives, well wishers, followers.He was two times elected chairman of Gournadi upazila parishad and two times elected chairman of Mahilara union parishad and a veteren freedom fighter and Awami Leaguer.His first Namaj E Janaza was held at Shaheed Abdur Rob Textile Engineering College compound after Juma Prayer and second Namaj E Janaza was held at Balur Math of Gournadi Bandar after Magrib prayer attended by local socio-political leaders, mas people.Shah Alam Khan was laid to eternal rest at his family graveyard in Tikhasar village of the upazila. Socio-political leaders and personalities of the upazila and district expressed their soliderity with the grieved family members and prayed for his eternal blessings.Our Correspondent. Barisal
