Govt asks educational institutions to stop taking extra chrages

The government has directed all the educational institutions to immediately stop collecting additional tuition and other fees from their students.The Education Ministry issued an office order in this regard on Sunday.According to the order, many private educational institutions are taking extra monthly tuition and other fees without any government directives, sparking off a negative reaction among students and their guardians.The order said governing bodies or managing committees concerned, as per rules, will decide the rate of tuition fees following government directives.It also said the government will soon issue necessary directives in this regard, asking the educational institutions to immediately stop charging extra fees from students.
