Hasina committed to break corruption cycle: Quader

Dhaka, Oct 04 – Awami League’s general secretary and Road transport and bridge minister Obaidul Quader MP said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is committed to break the cycle of corruption. Everything needed to be done in this regard. He said this while he was visiting the development work of four lane project on Dhaka-Tangail highway at Kharajura area of Kaliakair in Gazipur on Friday morning.Minister Obaidul Quader said that the ongoing anti-corruption raid is not against any individual group or party. It is against criminals and rogue. . There is a cycle of corruption in the country; this cycle has to be broken. For this reason, honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken the initiative. He has started this operation from his own house. Obaidul Quader said, on the eve of PM’s departure to Delhi, he had stated that this operation would not relax under any circumstances and would continue.
Responding to a question, Obaidul Quader said there is a medical board in charge of Begum Khaleda Zia’s treatment, it often examines her. Doctor’s report is inconsistent with what the BNP says about her illness. He said, I think there is a legal issue here, just like the humanitarian issue. The legal issue is not in the hands of the government. I have said it again and again if he gets bail and if he has a condition to go abroad on the advice of doctors and his condition deteriorates at that stage, it will be considered later.
