Dhaka, June 14 – Health Services Division Secretary Abdul Mannan’s wife Kamrunnahar died of Covid-19 disease at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on early Sunday.“Kamrunnahar breathed her last at 12:30am,” Personal Secretary to the Abdul Mannan told UNB.
She was admitted to the hospital on June 10 after getting infected with coronavirus, he added.
Earlier on June 4, Abdul Mannan, chairman of the Land Reform Board, was made the secretary to the Health Services Division.
Bangladesh on Friday reported the record new coronavirus cases (3,471) and record deaths (46) in the span of 24 hours until Friday morning.
The country has so far reported 84,379 coronavirus cases and 1,139 deaths. – UNB
