Dhaka-Miscreants torched 10 houses of the Hindu community at Horijonpalli at Bonomalipara area in Bochaganj upazila early Saturday.Habibul Haque, inspector of Bochaganj Police station, said some unidentified miscreants set fire to the house of one Sohel following previous enmity around 3:30am which spread to the houses.
On information, a firefighting unit rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze after 2 hours of frantic efforts.
Police arrested one Jewel in this connection.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shilabrata Karmakar visited the spot and distributed rice, cloths and blankets among the victims.
