Dhaka- A honey collector was killed in an attack by a tiger in the Sundarbans at Talpotti under Satkhira range in Satkhira on Monday.The deceased was identified as Khokon Khan, 55, son of Aijuddin Khanof Dumuria Village in Shyamnagar upazila.
Abiar Rahman, a local Union Parishad member, said, Khokon along with some other honey collectors went to Talpotti area for collecting honey after taking pass from Burigoalini Forest Office three days ago.A tiger swooped on the boat and dragged Khokon away early in the morning.Later his body was recovered from the forest, said Burigoalini station officer Belal Hossain.
