A deaf housewife drowned in a pond at Dhukuria Bera village in Belkuchi upazila on Wednesday noon.The deceased was identified as Bilkis Khatun, 23, wife of Abul Baki, hailing from Kalagachi village.Locals said Bilkis drowned in the pond adjacent to her house while washing clothes.Later, locals recovered her floating body after a frantic search.An unnatural death case was lodged in connection with the incident.
