Huda renames BNF as BNA

Barrister Nazmul Huda has renamed his faction of the Bangladeshesh Nationalist Front (BNF) as Bangladeshesh Nationalist Alliance (BNA). Addressing a press conference at the National Press Club Huda said that the objective of his new organization was to ensure good governance by establishing human rights through politics with a view to fighting corruption and politicisaion.
Nazmul Huda said the two major political parties are blaming each other for the abductions, enforced disappearances and killings, although there were laws to deal with these crimes.    The objective of his organization was to create a new dimension in politics to fight these menaces.
Expelled from BNP, Huda had first launched BNF and had promised that many reputed leaders would join him to establish democracy by ending confrontational politics. BNF however broke into two parts before the last general elections and at one point Huda had even called political programme at his home thana Dohar expressing allegiance to BNP. Another faction joined the election.
Renaming of BNF as BNA has been interpreted by some observers as a new move to make his presence felt. BNF was formed on 6 June 2012.
