A huge quantity of banned current net was seized from Gopalpur ghat area located on the bank of Padma River under Char Bhadrasan upazilla in the district here yesterday.Sources said, acting on secret information, a law enforcement team, led by UNO of Char Bhadrasan upazilla Dil Afroz Begum, seized a number of packets banned new current net weighing three maunds worth about Taka 10 lakh.
Later, the net was destroyed at the upazila compound.
