Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard in a drive recovered 35,000 pieces of contraband Yaba tablet, worth Tk 1.75 crore, from a village in the vicinity of the Naf River in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar early Friday.
Tipped off, a team of Coast Guard Teknaf conducted the drive in the area around 1:30 am and recovered the sex-stimulating tablets left unattended, sources at the Coast Guard headquarters said.However, there was no arrest in this connection as drug peddlers fled the scene earlier sensing the law enforcers’ presence. -UNB
