Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday directed the law-enforcing agencies to hunt down the criminals involved in Tuesday’s arson attack
on a bus at city’s Bangla Motor that left a traffic police dead.
PM’s press secretary Abul Kalam Azad said that the Prime Minister also expressed deep shock at the death of constable Ferdous and directed
the law-enforcing agencies to bring the criminals in to book.
Ferdous, a traffic constable, was killed and another constable Faizul Islam, and Bayzid, driver of the bus requisitioned by police, were
injured as arsonists set fire to the vehicle at Bangla Motor around 11:20pm on Tuesday, hours after the opposition alliance’s 83-hour
blockade ended. The Prime Minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed her profound sympathy to the bereaved
family members of Ferdous. – UNB
