A man was strangulated to death allegedly over his wife’s extra-marital affair at Chalisia village in Abhaynagar upazila on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Selim Sheikh, 40, a resident of the village.Molla Khabiruddin, officer-in-charge of Abhaynagar Police Station, said police recovered the body of Selim from a road in the village around 8pm.The body was sent to Jessore Medical College hospital morgue for autopsy. Police arrested Selim’s wife in this connection.Later, during preliminary interrogation, Roksana confessed that she had an extra-marital affair with one Moti of the village.Police is conducting drives to arrest Moti. -UNB, Benapole (Jessore)
