Dhaka- Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited distributed winter clothes at North Matlab area of Chandpur District. Professor Syed Ahsanul Alam, Vice Chairman of the Bank, distributed more than one thousand items to help keep the less fortunate members of society keep warm in the coldest month of the Bengali calendar.Major General (Retd.) Engineer Abdul Matin, Chairman, Executive Committee and Md. Syful Islam, FCA, FCMA, Director of the Bank were present on the occasion as special guests.Md. Nizamul Haque, Executive Vice President and Head of Comilla Zone of the bank, Shamsul Haque Chowdhury, Chairman of Mohonpur Union Parisad along with executives, officials of the bank and local elites were present on the occasion.Professor Syed Ahsanul Alam said Islami Bank has been working to serve the poor and destitute people in the society through its CSR activities side-by-side with its banking services.Terming IBBL a a poor-friendly one, he said the Bank is working in removing the poverty through its Rural Development Scheme.UNB
