Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited opens its 302nd Branch at Pirganj of Rangpur. Engr. Md. Eskander Ali Khan, Chairman, Executive Committee of the Bank inaugurated the Branch on December 6, 2015 Sunday as chief guest. Presided over by Muhammad Abul Bashar, Deputy Managing Director of the bank the inaugural ceremony was addressed by Md. Mosharraf Hossain, Executve Vice President, Md. Shahidullah, Executive Vice President and Head of Rangpur Zone, Md. Rafiqul Islam, Deputy General Manager of Bangladesh Bank, Mostafa Azad Choudhury, former Senior Vice President of FBCCI, Md. Moksed Ali Sarker, President of Pirganj Press Club, Md. Shahidul Islam Pintu, Social Organizer and Md. Anwarul Islam, President of Bangladesh Shikkhak Samiti, Pirganj spoke on the occasion. Local traders, professionals, ulemas, bank officials and social elites attended the inaugural ceremony.
Earlier, a seminar on “Superiority and Success of Islamic Banking” took place on December 5, 2015 Saturday preceding the branch opening while Md. Shahidullah, Executive Vice President and Head of Rangpur Zone presented the key paper. Presided over by Muhammad Abul Bashar, Deputy Managing Director of the bank Prof. Dr. ASM Toriqul Islam, Member of Shari`ah Supervisory Committee addressed the seminar as Chief Discussant.
