A virtual meeting of the reconstituted Shari`ah Supervisory Committee of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited was held on 10 June 2020, Wednesday. Professor Dr. Mohammad Gias Uddin Talukdar, newly elected Chairman of the Committee presided over the meeting. Md. Mahbub ul Alam, Managing Director & CEO of the bank, Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdus Samad, Member Secretary of the committee, other members of the committee and Additional Managing Directors of the Bank attended the meeting. In view of the sudden demise of Sheikh Pir (Moulana) Mohammad Qutubuddin being the Chairman of Shariah Supervisory Committee, Dr. Mohammad Gias Uddin Talukdar, Professor, Department of Arabic, University of Chittagong has been elected as Chairman and Mufti Sayed Ahmad as Vice Chairman of the committee.
