Bangladesh Army and Power Development Board (PDB) reached the final of the Minister Independence Day Volleyball Tournament eliminating their rivals in the semifinals at Dhaka Volleyball Stadium on Wednesday.
In the day’s first semifinal, Army beat Navy by 25-16, 20-25, 25-15, 25-13 points while PDB defeated Titas Gas by 25-19, 18-25, 25-20, 25-20 points in the 2nd semifinal.The final of the meet is scheduled to be held at the same venue at 4pm on Friday (March 14).
State Minister for Youth and Sports Biren Sikder will witness the final as the chief guest and will distribute prizes among the winners at the closing ceremony.
Chairman and Managing Director of the meet sponsor MyOne Electronics Industries Ltd Abdur Razzak Khan and Bangladesh Volleyball Federation Vice-president M Mahbubuzzaman will also be present at the ceremony. – UNB
