Oman to take more Bangladesh skilled manpower

Oman is interested in taking more skilled manpower from Bangladesh, said Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain on Wednesday.
“We’ve requested the government of Oman to take more skilled manpower from Bangladesh for its construction, agriculture and fisheries sectors. And they have shown interest,” he said.The minister was talking to journalists after a meeting with a four-member delegation, led by Adviser to the Oman’s Manpower Minister Saleh Aley Al Amri at his ministry’s Eskaton office.
He said Bangladesh will send a delegation to Oman to investigate Oman’s allegation that some 70,000 Bangladeshis working in the country Oman have changed their workplaces.
Some 500,000 workers are working in Oman, added the minister. The Bangladesh government will be able sent skilled manpower to meet Oman’s requirement, Mosharraf said. – UNB
