Islamic University- An inter-university football competition began at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtiaon Saturdayamid festive mood and much enthusiasm.
IU vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari inaugurated the competition as the chief guest at the university’s central football playground around12:00pmwith the university Treasurer Professor M Selim Toha in the chair.
Among others, IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif, director of IIER, Professor M Maher Ali and IU proctor Professor M Mahbubar Rahman were present on the occasion.
IU Physical Education department’s deputy director Mabila Rahman told UNB that a total of 17 public universities including DU, RU, BUET, IU and CU took part on the competition.UNB
