Dhaka – The Bangladesh team left here for Thailand on Saturday to participate in the Asian Youth Chess Championship beginning on Sunday at Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel in the Thai city Chiang Mai.Bangladesh will participate in Open and Bangpai Age Group Chess.FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman will compete in open under-18 age group, Subrota Biswas and Marzouq Chowdhury will participate in open under-16 group, Swarnavo Choudhury will compete in open under-12 group, Syed Ridwan will participate in open under-10 group, Manon Reja Neer will participate in open under-8 group, Jannatul Ferdous will participate in girls’ under-16 group and Noshin Anjum will participate in girls under-14 group.
WIM Rani Hamid will participate in above-65 age group and Warsia Khushbu will compete in the under-6 age group in Bangpai Age Group Chess Championship.A record number of 573 players from 29 Asian countries will take part in the event.UNB
