IPL: Shakib’s Hyderabad play Rajasthan Monday  

Dhaka – World renowned all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan’s Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Rajasthan Royals in a match of the 11th Indian Premier League (IPL) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday.The 4th match of the eight-team T20 league will begin at 8:30pm Bangladesh time with both sides starting their campaign in this edition with it.

Shakib, who was sold in IPL auction 2018 by INR 2 crore, will appear for the first time with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the league after his six stints with two times champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

The 31-year-old all-rounder has a long record in IPL with KKR. He played 43 matches in six seasons — 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 — for KKR and scored 498 off 382 balls at an average of 21.65, with best figure of 66* against Gujarat Lions at Eden Gardens, Kolkata in May 2016. He recorded two half centuries with hitting 44 boundaries and 15 over boundaries in 43 IPL games.

With ball, Shakib captured 43 wickets in 43 matches conceding 1,101 off 921balls at an average of 25.60 with an economy rate of 7.17.

KKR tasted the title first in the 5th IPL in 2012 when Shakib played eight matches to score 91 off 74 balls at an average of 15.16 with bat. With ball, he captured 12 wickets conceding 195 off 180 balls at an average of 16.25, recording his IPL best bowling figure of 3/17 against Rajasthan Royals at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on April 13.

After missing the 6th IPL, Shakib again appeared for KKR in the 7th IPL in 2014 and the side again clinched the title when Shakib played 13 games to score 227 off 152 balls at an average of 32.42 with his maiden IPL half century of 66 runs. With ball, he captured 11 wickets conceding 334 off 300 balls at an average of 30.36.
