Islami Bank opens 312th branch at Lohagara

Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited opened its 312th Branch at Lohagara of Narail on 27 November, Sunday. Helal Ahmed Chowdhury, Chairman, Audit Committee of the Bank inaugurated the branch as chief guest. Presided over by Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director and CEO of the Bank, Md. Joynal Abedin and Professor Dr. Sirajul Karim, Directors of the Bank, Faizul Alam Litu, Chairman, Lohagara Upazilla Parisad and Selim Reza, Upozilla Nirbahi Officer were present in the function as special guest. Saleha Begum, Lohagara Upazila vice-chairman, S M Anwaruzzaman, former principal, Lohagara Ideal College, Fakir Md. Mafizul Haq, commander, Muktijoddha Parisad, Syed Akram Ali Akhidul, secretary, Ramnarayan Public Library, Lohagara, S M Hayatuzzaman, acting headmaster, Lohagara Pilot High School, Ajay Kanti Majumder, convener, Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Council, Md. Khairul Islam, president, Lohagara Press Club and Md. Shariful Alam, president, Lohagara Bazar Traders Association spoke in the function. Abu Nasser Mohammad Nazmul Bari, Executive Vice President and Head of Khulna Zone of the Bank addressed the welcome speech. Md. Mosharraf Hossain, Executive Vice President and Head of Development Wing of the Bank, local businessmen, professionals and eminent personalities were present in the function.On the eve of the inauguration of the branch, a seminar on ‘Excellence and Success of Islamic Banking’ was held on November 26, Saturday. Joynal Abedin and Professor Dr. Sirajul Karim, directors of the bank were present in the seminar as chief guest.
