Police in a drive arrested district Jamaat-e-Islami ameer and former member of parliament Abdul Khalek Mondol on charges of subversive activities from Boikari-Khaliknagar area of Sadar upazila on Sunday.
Sadar Police Station assistant superintendent of police Anwar Sayeed said on a tip-off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested him around 6pm.Abdul Khalek Mondol has been accused in different cases, including a case for murdering former Bangladesh Chhatra League leader ABM Mamun in 2013. –UNB, Satkhira
