Police arrested a local leader of Jamaat-e-Islami from Jindabazar area in the city Sunday night.The arrestee was identified as Shahjahan Ali, assistant secretary of Sylhet city unit Jamaat-e-Islami.Sub-inspector (SI) of Kotwali Police Station Mobashshir said he was arrested in connection with several violence cases.
