Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami called countrywide daylong hartal for Monday protesting the death of their four activists during clash with cops in Cox’s Bazar on Friday.
Acting secretary general of Jamaat Rafiqul Islam Khan came up with the hartal announcement on Friday night.
Besides, Jamaat withdrew their countrywide protest programme which was declared to be staged on the same day.
Earlier in the day, four Jamaat-Shibir activists were killed and over 100 injured during a clash between Jamaat-Shibir-cops in Cox’s Bazar.

Jamaat called 48-hour hartal in Cox’s Bazar district from Sunday in protest against the death of four Shibir activists during clash with police on Friday afternoon.
District Jamaat secretary GM Rahim Molla confirmed the matter to banglanews Friday.
Earlier four Shibir activists were killed and over 100 injured during a clash between Jamaat-Shibir-cops in the district.
