Jannatul Ferdous first BD woman paratrooper

Captain Jannatul Ferdous has attained rare pride to be the first Bangladeshi woman paratrooper.

On Thursday she landed dawn from a fighting aircraft around 1000 meter high at Panichhara Paratrooping Zone of Jalalabad Cantonment of the district.

Jannatul Ferdous became the first Army woman even Bangladeshi paratrooper as she took part a basic para course under the Jalalabad Cantonment School of Infantry and Tactics.

She is the first woman Army officer who took part in the Para-suit training and added as the first woman paratrooper in Bangladesh Army.

In an immediate reaction after her success Jannatul said, “I took it as a challenge and I hope many woman will encourage for it.”

Jannatul joined Bangladesh Army on December 24, 2009 in 59th BMA Long Course. She hailed from Bijoynagar of Brahmanbaria district. Now she is working as computer trainer at Bangladesh Military Academy.banglanews24.com
