A local leader of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was expelled from the party on Wednesday for contesting the upazila elections going against the party decision.
The expelled leader is Munsi Kamal Azad Pannu, president of Jhenidah sadar upazila unit BNP.Jhenidah district unit BNP general secretary Abdul Malek disclosed the matter of Pannu’s expulsion at a press conference at the party office around 11:00am.The expulsion followed a decision at an emergency meeting of the party with the unit’s senior vice-president Nazrul Islam presiding.BNP nominated its Jhenidah sadar upazila unit general secretary Abdul
