Dhaka – Law enforcers in a joint drive arrested one suspected member of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Barual village in Haripur upazila in Thakurgaon on Tuesday night.Identified as Shahed Jaan,20, son of Yusuf Ali, a resident of the village, the arrestee is a student of Bangaon Dakhil Madrasah.Officer-in-charge of Haripur Police Station Saiyedur Rahman said tipped off, a joint team comprising members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab), Armed Police Battalion and Detective Branch of police, conducted a raid on the house of Shahed in the area and arrested him around 10:30pm.They also recovered one pistol, two sharp weapons and two rounds of bullet after searching the house.Assistant Superintendent of Police Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the arrest.-UNB
