Saiful Islam Talukdar, special correspondent of daily Amader Somoy died of a heart attack at 11 pm on Saturday night at his residence, said a BFUJ leader.
A joint secretary general of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Saiful was also a vice president of the Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ)
The body of Saiful Islam Talukdar will be brought to the National Press Club at 12 noon, and also to the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity, his frinds informed.Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday expressed deep shock at the death of eminent journalist and joint secretary general of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Saiful Islam Talukder.
In a condolence message, the Prime Minister said the country has lost a devoted and progressive journalist leader at the death of Saiful Islam Talukder, also a special correspondent of daily Amader Somoy.
The Prime Minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed sympathy for the bereaved family members. – News Desk
