The fourth session of Jatiya Sangsad that began yesterday with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair adopted a resolution condoling the death of Ishaque Hossain Talukdar MP. In the obituary reference some other eminent persons were also mentioned.
Taking part in the discussion Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her deep condolence for the Ishaque Hossain Talukder of Sirajganj-3 who was constructive both in Parliament and party activities.She also termed him as dedicated and tested leader of the party and it was ireparable loss for trhe country as well as for the party at his death.
Deputy Speaker Fazle Rabbi Miah Tofail Ahmed Amir Hossain Amu Mohammad Nasim ASM Firoze among others also took part in the obituary reference.
The session will continue for 12 working days till November 30 but the Speaker can increase or reduce its tenure, if necessary, according to a decision of Business Advisory Committee.
The Business Advisory Committee of Parliament at a meeting on the day decided to adopt a thanks-giving motion on November 16 in honour of the Speaker for being elected chairperson of executive committee of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) and lawmaker Saber Hossain Chowdhury for being elected president of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
According to a committee decision, the sitting of the day will begin at 4:00pm every day. – Staff Reporter
