A reunion of Jahangirnagar University Anthropology department will be held on Friday at Shoptom Chhayamancha premises on JU campus for the fifth time.
Kazi Mushfiqur Rahim, organising secretary of Anthropology Alumni Association of Jahangirnagar University (AAAJU) said this at a press conference at the seminar room of the respective department on Thursday.
Marking the events, the association has taken up elaborate programmes including a rally, wise-awarding, mourning meeting and cultural events including ‘Joler gaan’. Sinha and friends, and current students will perform in the the event.
JU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Farzana Islam is expected to inaugurate the programme and she take award from the association as the country’s first female VC from their department.
‘A total of 500 alumni and incumbent students will take part the programme and an alumni association election will be held. The current committee will hand over their responsibility to the elected committee to be elected’ said Mr. Rahim.
Among others, Dr. Siddiqur Rahman Apollo, president of AAAJU, Kazol Ahmed Leon, financial secretary, Nurul Islam Biplob, coordinator of the event were present the press conference. – JU Correspondent
