Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit, on Saturday brought out a joyous procession here on the campus congratulating Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as she received ‘Global Woman’s Leadership Award’.The procession –lead by JU BCL president Jewel Rana and General Secretary SM Abu Sufian Chanchal—started at around 12:00pm from the transport yard that ended at the Shahid Minar premises after parading the important streets.
In a short meeting at the Shaheed Minar premises, SM Abu Sufian Chanchal said, “Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working for empowerment of the women which accelerating the development day by day. The positive changes of our country are tangible today.”
Meanwhile, president Jewel Rana said: “We congratulate Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over her great achievement. Her strong leadership changed the total scenario of our country as she pressed the woman empowerment.”
Around 300 hundred BCL activists along with the leaders took part in the possession. – JU Correspondent
