Jahangirnagar University (JU) student of Geography and Environment department arranged strike in front of VC office demanding start of their class and exam which remain closed more than two weeks because of internal politics of the teachers.On Wednesday, at about 11:00 pm more than 400 student of the department arranged a protest rally, strike and staged demonstration in front of JU Vice-Chancellor office.
The protesting students alleged that their classes and exams remained closed for last two weeks and they demand immediate resumptiop of those academic activities.
They demanded sacking of Professor Manjurul Hasan of the department as he allegedly was involved in the cases.
JU Vice Chancellor Professor Farzana Islam said they would take steps to solve the problem. – JU Correspondent
