Savar – Marking the Victory Day, Jahangirnagar University (JU) authorities, on Saturday, paid homage to the martyred liberation war heroes, by placing a floral wreath at the National Memorial in Savar.JU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Farzana Islam, placed wreath at about 7:30am while JU Pro-VC Professor Dr Abul Hossain, Treasurer Professor Sheikh Md. Monzurul Huq, Registrar Abu Bakr Siddique, teachers and employees of the university were present among others.
Meanwhile, Jahangirnagar University Teachers’ Association (JUTA), Jahangirnagar University Journalists’ Association (JUJA), JU Cultural Alliance and different socio-cultural organizations also placed wreaths at the National Memorial.
