Jahangirnagar University (JU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Farzana Islam, also the first female VC of Bangladesh, condemned H M Ershad fior his tongue and demanded a formal apology,for calling the responsible women as ‘showpieces’ in Parliament,Prof Farzana said, H M Ershad an ex- President of Bangladesh also holding important title of the Government. It is very regretable to grt such comment, which also unparliamentary.
He has dishonoured the responsible women of our country, and I demand a formal apology of him, Prof Farzana added.
Last June 29 on the session of National Assembly Jatiyo Party Chief H M Ershad called prominent women as ‘Showpieces’. – JU Correspondent
