A local Jubo League leader was shot to death by miscreants at Padua intersection in Chauddagram upazila on Friday.The deceased was identified as Jamal Hossain, 35, former president of the Alkora union unit of Jubo League and son of Ali Hossain of Kulasar village in the upazila.Police and locals said Jamal came under attack by a group of miscreants in the area around 9:30pm on the way home from another place.The attackers fired bullets at him and severed the tendons of both of his legs, leaving him injured.He was taken to the upazila health complex where doctors declared him dead around 10pm.Contacted, officer-in-charge of Chauddagram Police Station M Farhad said Jamal might have been killed by miscreants over previous enmity. -UNB, Comilla
