Sajjatuz Jumma was elected President of the Bangladesh Thai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BTCCI) for the 2013-15 term in the ninth annual general meeting (AGM) held at the Dhaka Club on Saturday. Mohammad Shahjahan Khan and Mohammed Ali were elected Senior Vice President and Vice President respectively while Abu Rushd Tarek Director Administration and M Enayet Husain Director Finance, said a media release. Thai Ambassador in Dhaka Madurapochana Ittarong was present as the guest of honour at a lunch that followed the BTCCI AGM. The other newly elected directors are Zafar Osman, Asif Ibrahim, Salahuddin Abdullah, MRA Taha, Mafiz A Bhuiyan, Charles CR Patra, Montchai Musicabud, Shahzada Hamid, M Salem Sulaiman and Munir Hossain. Sajjatuz Jumma is the owner of Desh Electronics, Milling Engineers Limited, Desh Landmark Limited, founder Chairman and Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited, Chairman of Prime University and Prime Foundation. He is a former Senior Vice President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and also the former Chairman of Islamic Banks Consultative Forum (IBCF). – UNB
