Justice Bazlur Rahman was a devoted student leader and stanch warrior of student’s rights in his student life. Rajshahi University VC Professor Dr. Mohammad Mizanuddin said this while addressing a condolence meeting for late justice Bazlur Rahman organized by the Law faculty of the Rajshahi University at the Teacher Students Cultural Center (TSCC ) on Saturday at 10.00am.Shahriar Parvez, associate professor of Law and Land administration department moderated the program while A. N. M Wahid, dean of the Law faculty presided it over.
Shahiduzzaman Sarkar whip of National Parliament, Ruhul Kuddus Justice of high Court division of Bangladesh Supreme Court, Abu Saleh secretary of Law Ministry, Fazle Hossain Badsha MP, Abdul Wadud Dara MP, Abul Kalam Azad MP, University VC Professor Muhammad Mizanuddin, Pro-VC Professor Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan spoke at the programme.
Speakers discussed the life and works of Justice Bazlur rahman. They termed his death as irreparable loss of the nation.
More than two hundreds of students were present at the programme.
One-minute silence was observed at the program as a mark of respect to the departed soul of Bazlur Rahman
Justice Bazlur Rahman died at Bangabandhu Shekh Mujib Medical Hospital on January 01. He was born on April 12, 1955. He was the former student of the University. – RU Correspondent
