New Zealand defeated Pakistan by an innings and 80 runs to draw the test series 1-1. New Zealand managed to score a huge total of 690 runs in their first innings before Pakistan scored 351. Brendon McCullum and Ken Williamson scored centuries and Taylor, Anderson, Craig, Southee each scored half centuries to help Black Caps to get a huge first innings lead of 339. This proved too much for Pakistan as they were all out for 259. Asad Shafiq scored a century for Pakistan in the second innings but it was not enough to save the test match. Craig scalped 3 wickets in the second innings to get his 10 wicket haul in the match while Boult took 4 wickets. Craig was awarded man of the match award for his all round performance.
